Hello,
I'm trying to debug a piece of code with ChibiStudio while printing a lot of debug messages with the serial driver to a uart. Every time i reach a breakpoint and want to step over it the debugger jumps to the interrupt handler of the uart sending data. I already searched on the forum and google but couldn't find an answer to this.
How can i step over the breakpoint without stepping in the uart interrupt handler? Maybe there is some setting for it?

Re: Stepping through code
I am not aware of settings, you may manually disable interrupts around the zone you are debugging. It would be nice if there was a "step with interrupts disabled" feature but I think GDB does not have it.

Re: Stepping through code
I thought the "step" operation in the Eclipse/GDB debugger typically actually is "run to next source line". Though there is an option to switch to "instruction stepping mode" in Eclipse which uses gdb 'nexti', IIRC, to run to next machine instruction instead of C source line.
