Hi Giovanni,
Just an FYI, the serial terminal in ChibiStudio is a bit sketchy.
If I try to send a string using it (more than 3 characters) it makes ChibiStudio freeze and lock the serial port until the PC is restarted.
I have tried this on 3 of my computers so I don't think it is faulty OS.
For now perhaps it is best to use an external terminal?
Best Regards
Emil

Re: Serial Terminal is crashing
Hi,
I am not experiencing this on XP and Win7, do you have some other OS?
You can use any other terminal anyway, realterm for example is very good.

Re: Serial Terminal is crashing
Hi Giovanni!
I have tried it on Win 7 and 8.1, and now also on my work computer (Win 7 Pro, with a crash).
Hmm, it seems as it is the USB driver that is problematic. As soon as I do not use an STM32 serial port it works as it should.
I will ask on the ST forums and see if they have experienced the same problems.
