Hi,
After hours upon hours I realized that the readme file is missing part of the directions of what has to be done to add FatFS to a project.
After adding the fatfs.mk you have to also add the variables FATFSSRC and FATFSINC to the respective places in the makefile. Had I known this it would of saved me hours of frustration.
Please update the readme for FatFS and others addons.

and you will find everything you need...
yeah eventually I checked there when I realized the problem.
The readme makes it sounds like that is all you need to do so I didn't think to check the demo at originally.
