Missing IRQ Handler function

Post by Vimal »

Hi,
I'm trying to use interrupt based receive in USART.
I've set the RXNEIE register in CR1 and enabled IRQ using NVIC_EnableIRQ(USART2_IRQn) function.
i can see the interrupt has been enabled.
when im sending some data to uart but i'm not able to see any changes happening in the irq handler ?
is there anything i'm missing?

Look in the serial driver, it does exactly that. /os/hal/ports/STM32/LLD/USARTv2/hal_serial_lld.c

You probably forgot to enable clocks or to program GPIO.

Yes,I can see RXNEIE register being set.But where is the USART_IRQHandler being defined ?
With the help of NVIC_GetEnableIRQ(USART2_IRQn), i can see that Usart interrupt being enabled but my concern is im seeing no changes happening in USART2_IRQHandler ?

USART_IRQHandler is not part of ChibiOS, our handlers are named differently.

This forum is about ChibiOS, if you are using different libraries then you should ask in their support forum.
