Issue with WFI and USB1/OTG1 on STM32H743

Post by geebee »

Hi,

I spent quite a while figuring out why I couldn't get sleep and USB working on a project using a H743, and it turns out it's a known problem, described in this old thread: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1798
What happens specifically is that the current code uses BOARD_OTG2_USES_ULPI to have only one of USB1OTGHSULPILPEN or USB1OTGHSLPEN enabled. However, on the H7 (at least on some models) OTG2 also has the option of an external phy, and so there needs to be a parallel construct for USB1 to limit only one of USB2OTGHSULPILPEN and USB2OTGHSLPEN enabled.
Note: it's a bit confusing because what the register constant macros and the reference manual calls USB1OTG/USB2OTG are called OTG2/OTG1 in ChibiOS (indices reversed).
Thanks,

GB

Handling this here: https://github.com/chibios-upstream/chibios/pull/13

It could use some testing...
