chibios 2.5.2 stm32 serial_lld.h

Post by tdwebste »

I am testing the demos/armcm4stm32f407-discovery with the latest chibios 2.5.2
no iar

Unfortunately the serial_lld.h file can not be found.

Hi,

The device drivers paths changed and some projects are not updated yet in the unstable release, make it use .\os\hal\platforms\STM32\USARTv1\serial_lld.c/.h.

Paths will be fixed before next release, stable release 2.4.2 is OK in this regard.

I think I have solved my own problem by updating the iar file ch.ewp

hmm, perhaps, not
The first problem is fixed, but
I have seem to bet stuck in loops waiting for chip to stabalize.

Hi,

Make sure the chip is correctly flashed, it could be related to the ST-Link V2 settings (could you be running it in a simulator? of course it would not work), anyway, I will give it a try in the evening.

Thank you,
I am using 2.5.2 because I want to use the stm32f3.

Hi,

I fixed the project file on the repository and the demo works correctly. Probably you are running the demo in the simulator which does not simulates peripherals this causes the endless loop.
Make sure to select "STLink v2" as debugger and to configure it correctly.

Again, thx, but that does not seem to solve the problem.
with chibois 2.5.1
Also with chibois 2.5.1 I can get it running away and the cpu gets hot, I not sure what is happening,
running multiple copies.

I can repeat this, how should I break a get gdb connected? Or can I do this throw iar? I am currently using windows iar

But reloading any chibois 2.4.2 demo or my own code works fine
running iar . 6.40.5.427

OK this is now weird

I something in my code or how my code uses chibios causes it to not allows other code to run.
After in debug mode I do a chip erase I can load other chibios code,

update this was not a software problem

Was solved by leaving the stm32f4discouvery board unplugged over the weekend. Worked flawlessly afterwards afterwards
