I believe so. Its been awhile since I have worked on this. I think I got it all working with the makefile.

The one complaining about osalDbgAssert being undefined. The other was about this line but Idk if it was related to OS version or Embitz but it shouldn't matter since I am using makefile.

So i reverted to the version that comes with ChibiOS Studio and all the errors I had are gone. So its an issue with 16.1.3.

demo under any ChibiOS release up from 2.6
and you will find everything you need...

After hours upon hours I realized that the readme file is missing part of the directions of what has to be done to add FatFS to a project.

After adding the fatfs.mk you have to also add the variables FATFSSRC and FATFSINC to the respective places in the makefile. Had I known this it would of ...

I am using the Makefile via Embitz and it can't find the declaration of

osalDbgAssert

Which I can't figure out why. The makefile includes osal.mk which has the declaration of it.

What am I missing?

Thanks, you are correct. I had both USB and OTG. I hadn't tried removing PMA when I removed the USB driver.

Just a FYI that the #define STM32_USB_PMA_SIZE is missing from the stm32_registry for the STM32F4. I added it and got serial USB working. I assumed a size of 768 not sure if that is correct.

I figured out how the card detect stuff works.
