Hi Giovanni,
nice idea about the powerpc stuff - probably it does not get enough love. Do you know of a nice devboard?
On a related note: All my patches are accepted upstream master now. So you guys can just grep the latest stuff from the repo again. Please let me know if there are any problems.

I've not tried it, but maybe it is useful for some Windows user, maybe Giovanni?
You do realize that you've violated GPL now?

Hmpf.. it was only a matter of time somebody showed up...
I'm just frank in this instance and say that I don't really care.

Re: ChibiOS OpenOCD support
You care to post that to the openocd mailing list? If I would do that I could be called a snitch. You can provide a link for others to download (;
libftdi is in fact slower, but does that really matter? libusb on the other hand (with new MPSSE driver from Andreas) is really fast, I think I saw numbers showing that it's comparable to ftd2xx, so why bother with ftd2xx?
On the other hand - if you don't care about OpenOCD's GPL do you care about ChibiOS/RT license or maybe the same attitude applies?

Hi Freddie,
I see a difference between using GPL code without opening it up and "just" linking against bad code. But of course you are right. I've already asked in the IRC channel on how to compile against a "better" driver - no answer yet. Once I figure it out, I'll replace the zip file.

Re: ChibiOS OpenOCD support
Until you distribute the "combined work" but just use it for yourself you are not in violation of the GPL.

Download my package, in the info.txt you have full commands used to compile the binary. Of course you need to have libs (and headers) in your system (libftdi, libusb-win32, linusb-1.0) - you have to get them somewhere or compile them yourself.

We're clearly dealing with public distribution here, right?

Re: ChibiOS OpenOCD support
Yes, the zip contains the executable so it has been distributed.
Pleare remove the link.

I've deleted the link. Freddie could I ask you to create a new build from oocd master? I'm not expert in this windows stuff...
