porting ChibiOS to STM32373C-EVAL

Post by madokapeng »

I am new to chibiOS,

I might need some guide to port chibiOS to STM32373C-eval board

I followed
http://www.chibios.org/dokuwiki/doku.ph ... _rt_how-to
but it is for STM32F4xx)

However, at the compile stage. It gives compilation error says:

.\os\hal\platforms\STM32\GPIOv2\pal_lld.h(158): error: #256: invalid redeclaration of type name "GPIO_TypeDef" (declared at line 573 of "C:\Keil\ARM\PACK\Keil\STM32F3xx_DFP\1.0.0\Device\Include\stm32f30x.h")
.\os\hal\include\serial.h(111): error: #5: cannot open source input file "serial_lld.h": No such file or directory

Please give some hints

Thank you in advance

Hi,

You don't need to port anything, a demo for that board is already included in ChibiOS: ARMCM4-STM32F373-STM32373C_EVAL.

Some of the demos have Keip project files, you can use those as examples.

Giovanni,

Thank you for your quick response. However, I am quite new to chibiOS. I need some information more details.

Please someone can give me a guide.

what documents I should look at?

I found most of demo project is not keil. there is only a few has keil project.

there is a folder under os/port/, called RVCT. what is RVCT? Is this used for keil?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Yes, RVCT is Keil.

The available documentation is on the web site here: http://www.chibios.org/dokuwiki/doku.ph ... :documents
The main document is the general documentation here: http://chibios.sourceforge.net/html/index.html

Then, the problem is under os\ports\RVCT\ARMCMx, it has STM32F1xx, STM32F4xx, STM32L1xx. There is no STM32F3xx.

what files should I import under port folder for STM32373C-EVAL?

Hi,

Look at the Makefiles of the F3 demos and find the "include" (there are several of them), those .mk files contain all paths you have to use in your project.
