the power consumption should be between 16mA (30MHz) and 30mA (60MHz) in that configuration and it actually reads at 23mA for me
You're getting this value by measuring how much the entire board consumes while running at slowest speed? That's not bad at all. When I worked on a project w/ the Atmel ...

LOL...awesome. Would be hilarious if you can actually port that game over.

Re: Need explanations about Floating Point Unit
I think what Fede is saying is if he defines all his variables to be the C type "float" instead of "double", will it use the Cortex's single precision FPU?
I'm curious myself though I haven't tried it yet (still waiting on an STM32F429 Discovery board)...

Did you have to do anything special to get FATFs to work?
Or is it just a simple compile/link to your program?

Re: STM32F429 EvoPrimer features DMA2D graphics accelerator
any real benefit to getting this over an STM32F429 Discovery board? Looks like the only reason is to be able to swap in different CPU boards?

it's really $42 :-P
Digikey has it finally, but the STMicro page still says the price is $24. Methinks the web developer transposed the numbers

Why would you use this instead of the STM32L100 Discovery?
Seems like similar chip features but the other one is lower power...

I find that hard to believe...we get free shipping in the US
They're trying hard to compete w/ TI's Launchpad program. The new Discovery boards look a lot better than the old one...

Re: The new STM32L100C Discovery kit
Didn't know they got that big
Only thing I wish is that the STM32 had a memory controller that magically mapped those SPI RAMs into memory so they show up as regular program memory
Without that, we have to manage those memories almost like a flash card.
